Crisis Line Responder

Skilled Labour Volunteer | Sexual Assault Centre Kingston
DESCRIPTION: Provide empathetic support and practical crisis intervention to survivors of sexual violence over our 24/7/365 crisis line. The best part? You can complete volunteering from your own home!

Empower survivors to use coping skills, relaxation skills, and grounding techniques to reclaim their power. Sexual violence takes the power away from the survivors - with your help, you can re-instill it.

GOAL

Working on the crisis line is really one of the most rewarding things I have done in my life. I consider it a privilege that the women who call allow me to share in a piece of their story and help them, in whatever small way, towards recovery. Ive learned SO much from working on the crisis line.
