Jeffery Ikeaka Foundation

Cause: Poverty Alleviation

About Us:

Jeffery Ikeaka Foundation is an international non-governmental organization focusing on empowering youths and displaced persons in Nigeria and homeless people in Toronto. We are currently building a community center in Dikenafai, a rural village in southeast Nigeria. Our ongoing community center will offer educational, recreational and entrepreneurship programs.

Our Story:

Jeffery Ikeaka Foundation was born from the desire to impact lives positively every day. Jeffery Ikeaka has always had a penchant for improving lives everywhere he goes, sometimes with as little as using the gift of words. An International Relations graduate from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, Jeffery understands the value of education, and the foundation aims to encourage education in rural communities.

Jeffery has served the Canadian community in various capacities. He served as president of Carleton University’s Nigerian Students Association from 2013-2014. As the leader of the association, he committed to becoming the first president to raise funds for an international cause beyond the local reach of the Nigerian Students Association. Jeffery was inspired during the 2013 typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines, and by teaming up with the Red Cross Organization, Jeffery was able to raise $500 which was doubled by the Canadian Government to reach $1000 in donation to the people of Philippines. It was this one action that prompted Jeffery to dedicate himself to helping those in need with the creation of the Jeffery Ikeaka Foundation.
